 bx_dynEQ
bx_dynEQ is a mini-bundle in itself, containing of bx_dynE Q mono, bx_dynEQ stereo, bx_dynEQ M/S and bx_boom!
The concept of the bx_dynEQ is a truely NEW approach to dynamic EQ-ing, using innovative M/S features to allow for results not possible with any other EQ.
The stereo version introduces our unique "cross-feed" M/S feature, which allows M & S signals to actually "trigger" each other! An impressive selection of filter types including our new Brainworx band-pass filters and our trademark Bass-Shift and Presence Shift filters make this EQ an engineers swiss knife.
Preset knobs in the GUI enable the engineer to find good starting points fast and easy despite of the complexity of this new monster...
bx_dynEQ is not only an EQ, not even only a dynamic EQ, but it also is a true dynamics processor and an EQ system – at the same time.

 bx_boom!
bx_boom! is actually the ONE bx_dynEQ preset demonstrating the superior M/S features of this EQ best. Stripped down to only 2 parameters and an intuitive graphic design this tools enables you to attenuate or boost the impact of your bass drum sound - in a final mix (!) or a complete stereo drum-loop.
bx_boom! is only availble as a true stereo plug-in due to the M/S nature of the beast. bx_dynEQ features a "boost" preset though that comes close to what bx_boom! does...

bx_digital Features
The bx_digital is a state-of-the-art digital mastering processor that provides you with a mastering class 5-band equalizer (TDM: 7 bands!), De-Esser, Mono-Maker and intelligent Bass- and Presence-Shifters. The bx_digital works in up to 3 modes (!) including a sophisticated M/S mastering mode.
The bx_digital emulates the most outstanding modes of the analogue Modus EQ bx1, whereas the software offers literally ALL the features of the hardware including the M/S-SOLO-Buttons, separate input (L&R) and output (M&S) gains, 4 inserts (Creamware SCOPE version only), etc.
We will update all versions available with inserts as soon as the host standards will allow for this feature.

 bx_hybrid
bx_hybrid is a state-of-the art MONO & STEREO EQ. It contains several UNIQUE tools, such as an INTERNAL M/S PROCESSOR (stereo version only, of course) for STEREO WIDTH CONTROL & a MONO MAKER
(a Brainworx invention that will mono out any stereo signal up to a certain user-adjustable threshold frequency with only ONE knob - while automatically
compensating for the potential loss in the overall bass-spectrum!)
bx_hybrid was designed to map ANY & ALL EQ features of the DIGIDESIGN ICON center section EQ knobs! This means 7-band EQ incl. Lo- and Hi-Pass filters with various adjustable filter orders (up to 5th order - 30dB / octave), Lo- and Hi-Shelving EQs, Peak filters, Notch-filters (with adjustable Q!), and another BRAINWORX invention:
The JOYSTICK EQs... BASS- & PRESENCE SHIFTER EQs (taken from bx_digital) with shiftable center-frequencies (per common request...***). When used with DIGIDESIGN ICON controllers these SHIFTER EQs can be mapped to and controlled by the SURROUND PANNERS of the ICON, making this EQ an 11-band EQ with truly unique ease-to-use! There is nothing like the BASS-SHIFT for tweaking bass-drums, and do try the PRESENCE SHIFT for accoustic guitars. A sophisticated AUTO SOLO MODE will solo single frequency bands and tweak Q controls - upon mouse-click or when used with the touch sensitive EQ knobs of the ICON !
With internal DOUBLE-PRECISION calculating these EQs work with double resolution in 44 and 48kHz sessions, this way avoiding NYQUIST frequency problems and allowing for digital EQing up to 26 kHz in low res sessions.

 bx_control
bx_control is a CONTROL LISTENING TOOL and an M/S MATRIX with built-in MONO MAKER & STEREO WIDTH CONTROL. bx_control also features Hi Resolution LEVEL LEDs for PEAK and RMS levels.
This nice little tool can be used for a wide variety of sophisticated applications, such as chaining ANY stereo plug-in (even tools from other manufacturers) into a Brainworx M/S matrix (you need to use 2 instances of bx_control before and after the plug-in(s) that is / are to be "chained" into the M/S matrix), control the STEREO WIDTH of full mixes in mastering sessions or single stereo signals in mix sessions, mono-ing out bass-frequencies of stereo mixes / signals with our unique MONO MAKER tool, plus SOLO listening to M (mono sum), S (stereo difference signal), L (left channel) or R (right channel) phase-corrected ans mono-ed on BOTH speakers with its 4 dedicated SOLO BUTTONS, another Brainworx invention. Easily SWAP channels with its L/R flip button.
bx_control is also a PERFECT M/S RECORDING TOOL: use it as a LATENCY FREE M/S MATRIX in recording situations. Simply "feed" the bx_control with individual M & S microphone signals and they will be transformed into L/R stereo format "on the fly" while you can control the stereo width, solo listen to your M&S mics and mono out your bass frequencies with the MONO MAKER.

bx_solo is a nice little tool that we have designed to get you STARTED with and used to the way we approach the M/S technique - be it for recording-, mixing- or mastering purposes. The "heart" of our M/S tools are our unique SOLO BUTTONS that allow you to actually LISTEN to all components of a stereo mix / stereo signal individually:
L(left channel), R(ight channel), M(ono sum) & S(tereo difference signal) - and all this PHASE CORRECTED (when needed) and mono-ed out on BOTH SPEAKERS of your system. This is very helpful when working in M/S modes (because especially listening to only the S-signal of a stereo mix is not so easy to do with modern DAW stations) and to check your signals / mixes for errors, noises, clicks, whatever...
bx_solo also contains a STEPPED M/S STEREO WIDTH CONTROL, so you can get an impression about what you can actually do with ist. Do try it out on subgroups (makes ROCK GUITAR subgroups jump out of your speakers at about 150% !!!), FX returns, keyboards / samplers, etc.
>>> Using the STEREO WIDTH CONTROL too heavily may lead to phase problems. bx_control & bx_digital both have the MONO MAKER on board - this tool will be able to get rid off these phase problems with its UNIQUE way of mono-ing out your stereo signals / mixes ONLY IN THE BASS FREQUENCIES - MONO MAKER is the solution - unless you really over-do the settings...
